“I saw myself as a participant observer of the passing show, in those momentous decades where I discovered an underbelly where new crazes and ideas took root. My journey as a ‘footsoldier’ has touched many diverse areas, from drugs, sexuality, avant-garde theatre, the beat generation, and South Africa in the apartheid era. I was able during this creative and chaotic time, to capture some magical moments.”
